Den of Discussion

Douglas Robbins is a great author and artist in his on right, so sitting down to his podcast, Den of Discussion was quite a treat for me, you can listen to the episode here. This is from the official episode description on his site:

“Daniel and I discuss how he got into making films, his production company To Tony Productions, a production company that was created for and dedicated to his cousin and best friend Anthony, who had died of Cystic Fibrosis.

We discuss topics ranging from why Americans want films to end with a happy ending, and Daniel’s love of French cinema. Also, he reads a few poems from his recently released poetry book Just a Boy Blaming Himself, which can be found on Amazon.”

As a fellow creative, talking with Douglas was like talking with a kindred spirit. He was instantly able to connect with my writing and film work, which made the discussion that much easier. It would have been easy to just chat for far longer than our close to an hour-long conversation and I hope that I might have the chance to sit down with Douglas again soon.

As I always say with each of these posts it is so difficult talking about myself, maybe I need to star simply putting a transcript together or something for my podcast appearances but if you do take the time to listen, I hope you enjoy it. In all seriousness you should also check out Doug’s own written work, he is creating some amazing things if you ask me.

Of course, I will post more podcast episodes as they are released, it has been an amazing journey so far talking about my life and work to date. If you haven’t been monitoring the book as well it is now available in two bookstores in the mid-Atlantic region. Something I never thought would happen but here we are!
