Podcasts This Week
So, this week I am proud to debut two unique and amazing podcasts I was lucky enough to be a part of. The first being a podcast series called Poetry Bores and the other The Mindfulness and Grief podcast.
As part of Poetry Bores, the ongoing series called The Process with the host Tola Makanjuola. This was a strictly writing and poetry-based podcast, which was amazing to be a part of. It really allowed me to just talk about how my writing process goes and where my poetry comes from. It was also a chance to talk with a fellow creative writer. Tola was an amazing host, and I had a great time. We even finished the episode by playing a game of writing a poem with only a minute to do so based around a random word.
For the Mindfulness and Grief podcast, I had the pleasure of sitting down to talk with author Heather Stang about the experience of losing my cousin and best friend Tony to Cystic Fibrosis when I was only ten years old. Of course, this was not an easy podcast to do as no matter how many years removed from everything those feelings always hit home when I really talk about them. Nothing will ever replace Tony in my life, and losing him also meant losing my childhood. However, after that experience it helped me to see life differently and start inspiring the creative side in me to blossom like never, which I will always be appreciative for.
I hope you enjoy these podcast episodes and have enjoyed listening to me ramble on with all kinds of amazing people. If you like either series please support them by subscribing on whatever platform you get your podcasts through!
