Better Know An Author – Emmaleigh Loader

Our weekly spotlight series on authors from around the world. This week we sat down with Emmaleigh Loader!

Please give a brief introduction, including your name and where you are based

My name is Emmaleigh Loader, I’m based in the UK and I write dark romance and Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy under the pen name Emmaleigh Wynters.

What book or books have you published or are working on at the moment?

Within the last five months, I have published three and a half books. Savage, my debut novel from the Interconnecting Standalone Kings Wolves MC Series, came out August 26th, followed by the second book Ouija, on the 26th of October. A Halloween novella within the series, Straitjacket on the 31st of October and a third installment Stitch, which is my most highly anticipated book, which is out now.

I’m currently working on a paranormal/urban fantasy called don’t read between the lines under the pen name Emmaleigh Wynters and after that my next project is most likely the first installment of my next series Soulless Reapers.

What drives you to write?

Passion. Necessity. Love.

I’ve overcome many obstacles and hardships in my life, and I never thought I’d be one to follow my dreams as one of my biggest hardships is living with my disabilities which involves chronic pain. I never thought I could dream beyond that, but it was actually the Author Amelia Hutchins who brought me back into the world of dreams and gave me the focus and drive to push myself no matter what and that it’s also okay to ask for help.

Where can folks find you online and on social media?

What is one piece of advice you would give to another author out there who might be struggling?

Never stop. Nothing happens overnight, and sometimes the biggest obstacle is ourselves. We allow self doubt to eat at us. My one big bit of advice? Don’t. Write one book. Then write another and then write another. Just keep pushing through, even if you’re scared and never, ever let bad reviews get to you. There is a readership for everyone and if at some point you come across somebody who isn’t fitting for yours, that’s fantastic. Keep going and get your books in front of those who would love to devour it. If you ever doubt it, think about some things you don’t like to read as a reader, then go and research the audience for those who do. It’s refreshing to know there are no bad books, just maybe the wrong marketing. Nobody can do this for you. All we can ever do is keep going and wake up to smell the sunshine.

What are some of your five-year goals with writing?

Within five years I hope to have published fifty books, maybe made a bestsellers list and to be five years away from turning my passion of writing and reading into an online production company like Netflix which focuses solely on turning other amazing author creations into live TV and movies.

Final Thoughts?

Thanks for having me today, I’ve enjoy sharing my story. I hope that some of what I’ve said can resonate with others and I can inspire many not to give up.

It may take years to work towards something, but truth is. It only takes one second for you to accomplish it and then? Well, the game changes!
