Thee Hands of Fate

Thee Hands of Fate Film Spotlight

Today’s film spotlight focuses on the short film Thee Hands of Fate directed by Brandy Row & Gary Chandler-Honnor.

What is the title of your film and what inspired said title?

Thee Hands of Fate – Is a line from the one of the songs we used in the film.

Tell us a little bit about the story and origins of your film.

The origins of this project had the blueprints of a music video but grew into a strange art/experimental film later down the line. It is unlike the narrative films that myself and Videographer/Director Gary Chandler-Honnor usually do in the production company Wayward Boulevard.

Any films or filmmakers that inspired this film?

The Holy Mountain, Kubrick, Lynch, Burton.

What is the goal of the film for you?

To captivate the viewer with personal interpretation.

What has the journey been like getting the film into production?

It’s been fun! Me and Gary Chandler-Honnor are a small crew and we love what we do. We also have a lot of creative people around us in the London performing arts world. We all like to help each other when we can on our creative endeavours so it was all pretty organic. Also, the post-production period was particularly fun as I scored the whole film in the studio and worked on all the sound design. So that made the journey more dynamic and added an extra element of attachment.

One thing you learned from this project?

Beware of Bark!
