Take It or Leeves It

A Great Interview with Levi Anderson

Sitting down with fellow left hander Levi Anderson on Take It or Leeves It was a real treat. His knowledge and love for film made for an instant connection as we sat down to start talking. Despite the distance between us it was great having what felt more like a chat rather than any kind of formal conversation.

It was a great pleasure sitting down with Levi who had me on his series as the first out of network guest for him. If you follow the blog here you will know that I am fairly new to the world of podcasts, especially as a guest so this is my second time being on a series. However, the ease of the conversation again was wonderful.

In this episode we talk about what were the filmmaker inspirations for me which in my own mind is something of a constant debate. I could say very definitively for a long time that spot would go to Jean-Luc Godard but as time has gone forward, I have become very partial more recently to Ozu Yasujiro. Which as far as style goes both of these filmmakers come from very different ways of thinking.

It was very humbling for Levi to give praise to my book of poetry, something I am still in awe of whenever I hear any kind words about. I had the chance to read a few select pieces in this episode which was great and I’m glad that I had the chance to share them with Mr. Anderson.

Again, this podcast is available on a variety of different platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Unfortunately, no YouTube video links this time but our chat did take place over zoom so I still had the pleasure of talking with Levi face-to-face as it were.

As with all of these media appearances I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to sharing more of them with everyone as they go live.

Take care and stay creative!
