Today’s film spotlight focuses on the feature film The Game Ends directed by Meto Ege.

What is the title of your film and what inspired said title?

The original title is “Das Spiel Endet” English: “The Game End´s”. The name should be “The game begins, this movie is part two, so we have a choice of another title!

 

Tell us a little bit about the story and origins of your film.

Synopsis: When the boss of the syndicate dies in an assassination attempt, a bitter fight breaks out between the two heirs to the throne, Markes (Marouan Badaoui) and Zuming (Emir Bozkara). But the police also intends to have a say in the replacement of the chief post, after all their mole Dovan (Muhammet Bahadir) is the new friend of the two successful real estate agents Markes and Acun.

I was visiting a friend’s house in June 2017 and he asked me if I would do a new film. I said “I don’t know, do you want to join again?” He said “yes”. So we started shooting the film the next day. Without script only with a short scene.

 

Any films or filmmakers that inspired this film?

Many Korean Films and the Actor Shah Rukh khan had inspired me.

 

 

What is the goal of the film for you?

I hope our film is well received in Germany or worldwide, so that I can make more films in the future!

 

What has the journey been like getting the film into production?

As I said before, I was motivated by a friend and that’s how we started the production.

 

One thing you learned from this project?

Yes, I learned a lot about visual effects and a lot about self-made foleys.

 

How can folks find you and your film online?

 

I can be found online via my name “Meto Ege” and the film actually has not been online. We are currently looking for film distribution.

Any last pieces of advice for fellow filmmakers?

Keep going, don’t give up, always be creative and let yourself be inspired again and again, I would be really looking forward to working together!
